Luton Town's penultimate Premier League away game of the season is in the Midlands as we face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday.

Rob Edwards’ side will be looking to get back to winning ways as the season draws to a close; we sit one point inside the relegation zone going into this fixture.

Gary O’Neil’s Wolves have steered themselves away from the drop zone throughout the season, sitting in 12th place despite no wins in their last seven games.

“The boys have trained well. The Brentford defeat was just frustrating in that it happened at this stage of the season. But it happens and we’ve just got to get on with it.

“We couldn’t allow it to fester or hurt for too long. We’ve lost a game, and of course it’s serious, but at the same time we can’t allow it to hurt us any more, or to knock confidence and belief or cause disruption in the group.

“We won’t allow that. We’ll learn from it. We put it to bed early on Monday, there’s been good focus from the group.

“We’ve said the players have got credit in the bank – because they’ve been amazing for me this season – but we know standards dropped and we know we need a reaction on Saturday at Wolves.”

The opposition

O’Neil stated that Wednesday night’s defeat against ten-man Bournemouth was their “worst performance of the season so far”.

That loss made it six in a row in the Premier League after Coventry City’s remarkable late turnaround at Molineux in the Emirates FA Cup last month.

Matheus Cunha was praised by O’Neil midweek despite defeat; the Brazilian is Wolves’ top scorer this season with 17 Premier League goal contributions.

Wolves’ five Premier League home games against promoted sides since the start of last season have produced just four goals. The last four of those games finished 1-0, with Wolves winning three of those and losing the other against Bournemouth.

This is the first time we have visited Molineux for a league match since August 2006, and the first time in the top-flight since our 2-1 win in January 1984.

Team news

Manchester City loanee Issa Kaboré is unlikely to play again this season after sustaining an ankle sprain last Saturday.

Gabe Osho and Sambi Lokonga got through uninjured in their return to action last weekend, while Reece Burke has recovered from an illness that saw him withdrawn at half-time against Brentford.

Striker Elijah Adebayo has made progress in his recovery from a hamstring issue, but Saturday will be too soon for him to feature.

No other injured players are set to return this weekend.

Pedro Neto scored an incredible solo goal just after half-time before Carlton Morris’ penalty secured a draw at Kenilworth Road.
